Scottie Scheffler has had one of the most successful seasons of his entire golfing career, securing a Masters title and Olympic gold medal as well as seven other tournament wins. The American has enjoyed a winning PGA Tour season in 2024, claiming his second major title and plenty of prize money to boot too.
According to CBS reporter Kyle Porter, Scheffler has earned a whopping $62,228,357 (£42,353,273) in total PGA Tour payouts this year alone. This money comes after his wins at the Arnold Palmer International, the Players Championship, the Masters, the RBC Heritage, the Memorial Tournament, the Travelers Championship, the FedEx Cup and the Olympics.
Porter wrote on X that Scheffler makes an average of $3.3m (£2.5m) per tournament, $830K (£631K) per round, $12K (£9.1K) per shot and $3K (£2.2K) per minute on the course – which is an assumption that each round takes 4.5 hours to complete.
This is based on all of Scheffler’s winnings across the season, broken down into $4m (£3m) for the Arnold Palmer International, $4.5m (£3.4m) for the Players Championship, $3.6m (£2.7m) for the Masters, $3.6m (£2.7m) at the RBC Heritage, $4m (£3m) at the Memorial Tournament, $3.6m (£2.6m) for the Traveler’s Championship and a whopping $25m (£19m) at the FedEx Cup.
This, coupled with the joy of winning an Olympic gold medal at the Paris Games, has showcased a brilliant season for Scheffler, making his seven PGA Tour titles the most ever since Tiger Woods done the same in 2007.
Scheffler is currently ranked as the number one golfer worldwide, and has held that title for over 100 weeks – and it seems that the 28-year-old is just getting started when it comes to winning.

Speaking after the FedEx Cup win, Scheffler was quick to praise his caddie Ted Scott for keeping him calm throughout the tournament at the weekend.
The American said: “Ted did a good job of helping me reset. He gave me a nice pep talk there on the back of the eighth green because I looked at him like, ‘man, I don’t know about this, this isn’t looking so hot right now’.
“He gave me a little pep talk and then I was able to hit a really nice iron shot in there [on nine] and got things rolling. He really is a huge part of the team. I don’t know if I’d be able to do any of this without him on my bag.
“And then I did some really nice stuff to finish this tournament off.”
