The summer transfer window has very quickly come alive over the past week, with a host of Premier League clubs keen to get their business done early. Several English top-flight teams are conducting business with one another, with Chelsea especially involved under new boss Enzo Maresca.
The Blues appear likely to trade at least one player each with Aston Villa, with Champions League finalist Ian Maatsen on his way to Villa Park for a rumoured £35million fee, with Villa starlet Omari Kellyman in advanced talks to go in the opposite direction for £20m.
Chelsea have also opened talks for Lille striker Jonathan David, having missed out on Michael Olise to Bayern Munich. With just a year left on the Canadian’s contract, he could be available for a cut-price figure, as Todd Boehly looks to bolster their forward options.
Manchester United are keen to improve Erik ten Hag’s defence, but have found the valuations on Premier League stars such as Jarrad Branthwaite, Marc Guehi and Max Kilman to be unrealistic. Nice’s Jean-Claire Todibo appeared to be heading to Old Trafford, but they were banned from signing players as Sir Jim Ratcliffe also owns the Ligue 1 club.

Tottenham’s Ange Postecoglou took a break from recruitment to appear on ITV’s coverage of Euro 2024 on Saturday night, but Spurs are keen to improve both their defence and options out wide. Spain’s Nico Williams and Leeds’ Archie Gray are thought to be two top targets.
Liverpool have been quiet on the transfer front as Arne Slot takes over from Jurgen Klopp. Jamal Musiala is thought to be a player well admired at Anfield, who rejected a new Bayern Munich contract in March, but it would take a substantial fee to prise him away from the Allianz Arena.

Brighton hero set to departBorussia Dortmund are closing in on agreement to sign Brighton playmaker Pascal Gross, reports Sky Sports Germany.
The midfielder has enjoyed several very successful seasons with the Seagulls, but the prospect of returning to Germany appears to be too good to turn down for the playmaker.
Gross is keen to join Dortmund this summer and negotiations with Brighton are set to be opened soon, with contract talks expected to conclude soon.

Manchester United launch Amadou Onana bidManchester United have reportedly bid £46million for Everton and Belgium midfielder Amadou Onana, in direct competition with Arsenal.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claim that Barcelona are now out of the race for Onana, unable to financially compete with the Red Devils.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal are prepared to match United, or whether Erik ten Hag could have a new partner for Kobbie Mainoo on his hands.

Chelsea ready to pay Nico Williams release clauseChelsea are reportedly prepared to trigger Nico Williams’ £47million release clause after his impressive displays at Euro 2024 with Spain.
After missing out on Michael Olise, the Blues are attempting to move quickly and beat their Premier League rivals to the Athletic Bilbao winger.
He has already reiterated his desire to remain with the La Liga club, but Chelsea are set to test his resolve with a big-money offer.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka agrees Galatasaray moveManchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka has reportedly agreed personal terms on a move to Galatasaray this summer.
Turkish outlet Fanatik claim that a full agreement has been reached between Galatasaray and Wan-Bissaka on his wages and contract length, with all left to be decided is a fee with United.
The Red Devils initially requested as much as £12m for the former Crystal Palace defender, who has a year left on his current contract, but Galatasaray are aiming to negotiate that fee down to £8m.

Serhou Guirassy to decide on Arsenal and Chelsea soonStuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy is set to make a decision on his future in the coming days, with Arsenal and Chelsea both interested in the Guinean star.
He scored 28 goals in 28 Bundesliga games last season to put Premier League giants on alert, with Borussia Dortmund also very keen to trigger his £15million release clause.
Sky Sports Germany claim that a decision will be made by Guirassy very soon, with Dortmund optimistic he will choose to stay in the country, but Arsenal and Chelsea remain keen.

Manchester United to submit new Jarrad Branthwaite bidManchester United are set to return to Everton with an improved offer for their number one summer target Jarrad Branthwaite.
A derisory £45million bid was previously turned down, way short of Everton’s £75m valuation, but the Daily Mail claim that a fresh offer is being prepared.
United are unlikely to meet Everton’s asking price but after being quoted high fees for fellow targets Marc Guehi and Max Kilman, may feel that the premium on Branthwaite is worth considering.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims that personal terms are on the verge of being completed, with the 18-year-old keen on heading to Stamford Bridge.
Once the deal is agreed in principle, his medical will be booked and final details drawn up to announce the signing.

Manchester United and Arsenal sent £100m ultimatumManchester United and Arsenal have been told to pay Joao Neves’ £100million release contract in full or to forget about signing Portugal’s Euro 2024 starlet.
That’s according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs, who claims that the two Premier League giants and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the Benfica midfielder.
PSG only want to bid in the region of £63m for the 19-year-old, however, while Manchester United and Arsenal have no current plans to trigger his clause and will hope to negotiate a lower fee.
