Caroline Wozniacki appeared to mock Mayar Sherif during their first-round clash at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday.
The Dane is competing in the fourth Olympics Games of her career and has set her sights on earning her first-ever medal at the event. However, Wozniacki was forced to dig deep to avoid being dumped out of the competition by Egypt’s Sherif in the first round.
Sherif won the opening set in style and was serving for the match at 5-4 in the second set, prompting some antagonising tactics from Wozniacki. The 34-year-old appeared to mock Sherif’s vocalisations as she hits the ball.
