Clubs up and down the country will be aiming to use the transfer market to improve their squads before the new season gets underway. Manchester United and Chelsea have already welcomed a host of new faces, with the Red Devils announcing their latest capture on Thursday.
United managed to pull off the statement signing of teenage defender Leny Yoro in spite of competition from Real Madrid and Liverpool. They are reportedly close to finalising yet another deal after reaching an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have already signed five new players ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign. Tosin Adarabioyo, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Renato Veiga have all joined the Blues for a combined total of £65.4m.

The Saints were keen on a loan deal with the option to make the move a permanent one next summer, according to Sky Sports.
However, it is said that Palace are unwilling to sell Rak-Sakyi to a Premier League rival.
Instead, they are hoping to loan him to the Championship with a large number of clubs reportedly showing an interest.

DONE DEAL! Jaden Philogene rejoins Aston VillaAston Villa have confirmed that Jaden Philogene has returned to the club from Hull City on a permanent deal.
The England youth international only joined the Tigers last summer but is already back at Villa Park.
Philogene was reportedly set for a medical at Ipswich Town before Villa activated their matching rights clause.
Everton were also heavily linked with the 22-year-old, who scored 12 goals in the Championship last season.

It is said that Chelsea are still keen on the 21-year-old and have approached Lens to discuss a potential transfer.
They are yet to submit a formal offer but Lens are likely to want at least £30m in order to make a quick profit on the forward.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who are reporting the Hammers are keen on bringing Kante back to the Premier League.
They are currently deciding whether to submit a formal bid, with a deal likely to cost around £20m.
It is said that wages could prove difficult, though, with Kante tied down to Al-Ittihad for another two years on a reported £86.2m per season.

Ugarte is represented by Jorge Mendes, who is also the agent of Leny Yoro and has a long-term relationship with United after orchestrating deals for several of his past and present clients.
It is said that Ugarte is open to joining United in spite of their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
However, the Red Devils are yet to agree a transfer fee with discussions at club level thought to be ongoing.
