Taylor Swift announces release for 1989 Taylor’s VersionTaylor Swift announced yesterday that her sensational Eras Tour will be released as a cinematic experience for fans a month – and in just 24 hours the country singer’s immense fanbase has proved their unwavering loyalty.
According to Deadline, AMC is reporting the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert filming has already surpassed a groundbreaking $26million in presales, with the legendary songstress ranking among superheroes and Jedi.
The record-breaking numbers have placed the 33-year-old’s documentary above the previous record for Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home which clocked $16.9million in 2021 and Eternals which racked up $13million.
Similarly, the film has even surpassed the resurgence of the Star Wars franchise in 2015 with Star Wars: The Force Awakens coming in at $20million on its first day of presales.
However, the outlet highlighted that Taylor’s figures are only from movie theater chain AMC – meaning it doesn’t include the presales figures from other entertainment powerhouses that will be releasing the film.
The company reported that less than three hours after tickets went on sale for the Midnights singer’s film, it had already come mind-blowingly close to Tom Holland’s Spider-Man record.
Fandango Ticketing also reported that the concert documentary is already ranking among the top first-day presellers which includes another Marvel heavyweight, Avenger: Endgame, and claimed it was the best first-day ticket seller of the entire year.
The documentary will follow the iconic musician during the North American leg of her The Eras world tour which is only scheduled to end in late 2024.
Taylor has also stayed true to the thematics of her music that her Swifties expect, with tickets in the United States reportedly costing $19.89 for adults, the year she was born and one of her chart-topping albums and $13.13 for children, the date she was born and her lucky number.

The Grammy winner is evidently making waves in the cinema industry with The Exorcist’s highly anticipated follow-up film now changing release dates.
While both the documentary and the horror sequel were expected to be in cinemas on October 13, The Exorcist: Believer has since switched to October 6.
As Taylor announced the news on Instagram, The Exorcist’s producer Jason Blum initially took to X branding the day Exorswift, following the trend from Barbie and Oppenheimer’s joint-release that sparked a Barbenheimer phenomenon.
However, on Thursday evening the producer coyly added: “Look what you made me do. The Exorcist: Believer moves to 10/6/23”
