We’ve reached day three of Wimbledon and there’s already been plenty of drama to digest. British fans were left dejected yesterday after it emerged Andy Murray woul not recover in time to play in the singles, but is still hoping to play in the doubles alongside orother Jamie.

There have been wins however for the likes of Jack Draper, Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu – with the latter back in action today against Elise Mertens on Court No.1 Defending men’s singles champion Carlos Alacaraz also plays against Aleksander Vukic.

Novak Djokovic is safely through, and there was no sign of discomfort in his knee as he sauntered to a win over Vit Kopriva yesterday. Some matches were delayed because of steady rain at SW19, but thankfully Wednesday’s forecast suggests there will be few disruptions.

Djokovic wants O’Sullivan lessonNovak Djokovic was watched by Ronnie O’Sullivan on Centre Court yesterday and now wants to meet the snooker great again.

He said: “I’m his fan. I watch snooker just because of him. I watched when I was a kid. Honestly, I watched him play many years ago.

“My father loved watching snooker. I only watched Ronnie. Whenever he would not play, I would not watch. We just had a meet-up, an interaction for the first time. It was great.

“He was one of the sport greats I used to watch when I was a kid. It was really nice to have him around. Hopefully we’re able to play some snooker ’cause I’m really bad at snooker. I’m okay at pool or billiards, but snooker, I tried it twice, and it’s really, really tough.”
