Next James Bond rumours have been circling Aaron Taylor-Johnson for over a year now.

Reportedly the rising Hollywood star impressed Barbara Broccoli in a secret audition and then in March he apparently was offered the role as the new 007 to replace Daniel Craig.

Bookies’ odds were suspended and the 34-year-old played it very coy in interviews on the matter.

Yet since then there’s been silence as fans continue to wait for an official announcement.

In the meantime, Coral has resumed their 007 race with Taylor-Johnson remaining the odds-on favourite at 1-2.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Aaron Taylor-Johnson has downplayed any James Bond talks in the past, however, he is still the red-hot favourite in our betting to be confirmed as Daniel Craig’s replacement.

“Henry Cavill and Taron Egerton are other names at the top end of the betting. The latter, in particular, has attracted some strong support over the last few days.”

Coral’s latest odds: 1-2 Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 5-2 Henry Cavill, 3-1 Taron Egerton, 4-1 Theo James, 5-1 James Norton, 6-1 Leo Woodall, 8-1 Jonathan Bailey, 8-1 Damson Idris, 10-1 Paul Mescal, 10-1 Regé-Jean Page.
